An Australia based client approached us with the requirement to create a custom App for its business that will basically be used for online shopping and will have a user-friendly and easy to use UI with proper customer notification features.
To accomplish this requirement, we developed a Microsoft flow that will connect to the client’s SQL database and when a record is created in the SQL, we create the Case in dynamics 365 based on the different criteria as per the business needs.
And, we developed a PowerApp, that will display the Cases and whenever a case is resolved, we send a mobile notification to the PowerApp user.
In order to send the notifications to the users, we have created a Microsoft flow that will be triggered when the case is resolved in the dynamics 365. And, using the inbuilt PowerApps Notification action of the Microsoft flow we send notifications to the PowerApp users.
We send two types of notification to the users based on the status of the Case been resolved. If the status of the case is “Resolved- Pending for Acceptance”, we send a mobile notification to the user, clicking on which the user will be navigated to the “Customer contact details” page of the App from where the user can get the contact details of the customer to confirm whether the problem has been solved or not.
If the status of the case is “Resolved-With Acceptance”, we send a mobile notification to the user, clicking on which the user will be navigated to the screen displaying the list of pending cases to be resolved.
The client is very happy with the quick no code solution that we had provided them.
