Power Platform and Dynamics 365 based Industry Accelerators

We all know the no code/low code approach followed by Power Platform and Dynamics 365 among others has reduced the time it takes to deliver the solution to the end user. The industry accelerators developed on top of Power Platform reduce this time even further. These can be used on top of both Power Platform and Dynamics 365 and can be deployed just like any other 3rd party solution, i.e., by importing their solutions.  

For the ISVs this makes it a lot easier and faster to create their own solutions on top of Dynamics 365 or Power Platform. With the groundwork already done, they only need to add their own business logic. This means the initial design of the database, the setting up of the relationships between the tables, user interface, everything is already taken care of. The ISVs can add their own functionality on top of these. 

Combine this with the no code/low code approach of Power Platform and Dynamics 365 and one can create a market ready solution in no time, so to speak. Put these solutions on Microsoft’s AppSource and you end up reaching a wonderful and wide market supported by Microsoft itself.  

All the industry accelerators are completely free, meaning the ISVs don’t have to pay anything extra in terms of licenses. They don’t have to pay anything from their earnings of the finished product either.  

Because these solutions are built on Dataverse, they can be scaled easily, not just in terms of data but also in terms of complexity of the data flow. Ready-made Model driven apps are also available so they can be used right away or can also be modified according to requirements. The ISVs don’t even have to create their own apps. 

As these are built on top of Power Apps and Dynamics 365, they will require existing licenses of either of these first.
