Diamond Price Prediction

The Challenge

The client wanted an application to estimate price of polish diamonds based on different parameters like: Carat, Color, Shape, Fluorescence, Symmetry, RAP etc. This application was to be used by the client’s purchasing department to replace the manual pricing procedure they had been following till date.

The Solution

We proposed and developed a PowerApp for the client with an intuitive UI that will take the required parameters as input from the user, calculate the price and present it.

The PowerApp was integrated with a web API(c#) that calculates the prices using a prediction algorithm developed using machine learning. Integration was accomplished using the custom connector and the Microsoft flow.

The client introduced it in their company and it instantly aided the purchasing department garnering, increased productivity and reduced variance in prices for the client. And a contended client for us.
