Microsoft Dynamics 365: 2023 release wave 2 plan overview

As features are ready for release, the Dynamics 365 release plan for the second wave of the 2023 release notifies customers of the most recent upgrades.

The second wave of updates for Dynamics 365, Viva Sales, and the supply chain platform are scheduled for release between October 2023 and March 2024.

In addition to Microsoft Viva Sales and Microsoft supply chain platform and its supporting products, the release includes hundreds of new features across all Dynamics 365 applications, including Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Project Operations, Finance and Operations cross-app capabilities, Human Resources, Commerce, Business Central, Guides, and Customer Insights.

Few of them are as follows:

Marketing

With the help of Dynamics 365 Marketing:

• Marketers will be able to swiftly design new experiences and personalise email content, layouts, and graphics to a whole new level.
• Furthermore, B2B dashboards and the direct assignment of leads to the appropriate sales representative will bring marketers and sellers into alignment and enable them to work as a cohesive team throughout the buying experience.

Sales

Dynamics 365 Sales

• Through improved sequence capabilities, Dynamics 365 Sales will concentrate on helping sales organisations manage and prioritise digital sales processes.
• By offering suggestions, summarising data, accessing information, and carrying out activities in context and within the flow of work, we will enable users to assign and track lead assignment status.

Microsoft Viva Sales

• Microsoft Viva Sales is innovating the way salespeople work by providing enhanced AI capabilities such as email notifications, CRM recommendations, sales email composing, meeting notifications, and online sales guides in real time.
• Collaboration space in Microsoft Teams, bringing a new Copilot selling experience that accelerates deals and closes deals faster.

Service

Dynamics 365 Customer Service

• Improve the voice channel, call dialer, and call routing to agents with the longest free time.

Dynamics 365 Field Service

• New features for frontline workers, service managers and dispatchers.
• Convert quotes to work orders, improve testing operations, and grow resource planning capabilities.
